Midnight Rendezvous
I had a weird dream last night,
it was filled with flying moons, smirking cups, and a silvery fox.
A silver moon leaned down and whispered
“A foxy fox is watching you tonight.”
Amid thundering applause and shrill catcalls,
the fox and his cup did a jig and twirled on the spot.
The flowers danced and bowed merrily
while picking red cups from a nearby tree.
“Hey, you,” said the fox to me,
“stop tickling my tummy and stealing cups from me!”
“Silly fox,” I responded cheerily,
“I don’t need your cups, so leave me be.”
“Of course you do,” smirked the moon from his perch up a tree.
“You are running from the fox while drinking my tea.”
The silly, foxy fox and the silver, smirking moon were not pulling my legs, see,
for it was true that I was carrying a fox and drinking cup from porcelain teas.
Yes, I had a strange dream last night,
it was filled with running tea doilies and thieving sprites who were not truly distressed with their plight.
